Lincoln – Magic you Cannot Resist

Hey, guys! Two months ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Lincoln for a business meeting. I traveled to this part of Lincolnshire with two colleagues and they also wanted to take some time and visit other towns. We added Newark-on-Trent, Mansfield, Grantham and Derby. I stayed at Bail House Hotel (34 Bailgate), while they had reservations at Tower Hotel (38 Westgate). As we were businessmen coming to Lincoln on official matters, we used executive cars for transportation.

One of my colleagues is practically in love with everything that has to do with history and castles in particular. This is why we first visited Lincoln Castle, a beautiful piece of architecture. From there, we arranged for a taxi cab to take us to the Lincoln Cathedral. This was a unique thing to see, as this cathedral is incredible. We had a great time, especially since we met with other colleagues from other branches of our company. When it was time to return to the hotel, we preferred one of those minibuses, so that we all could travel together. We also ordered a wheelchair taxi for one of our colleagues, who had special physical requirements.

The travel between Lincoln and Gatwick airport was possible with an airport taxi. We selected an executive car for the 190 miles journey; we reached our destination in 3 hours and 10 minutes, paying around £468. Other colleagues traveled from Lincoln to Humberside airport. They used a saloon car for the 32 miles journey; they reached their destination in 48 minutes and paid £55. As for our small group, we stopped on the road at The Lensfield Hotel (53 Lensfield Road, Cambridge) and the Great Northern Hotel (Station Approach, Peterborough). We dined at The Plough (Green End, Cambridge) and at Cherry House (125 Church Street, Peterborough).
