Ripon – taxi travelers in the town

Hey, pals! As I did not know the next place I would like to travel to, I closed my eyes and put my finger on the map. It was Ripon, right in the heart of North Yorkshire. I added several towns to my trip, as I wanted to make the most of it; these towns included Harrogate, York, Darlington and Leeds. As I convinced five other friends to join me, we made hotel reservations at Ripon Spa Hotel (Park Street) and The Unicorn Hotel (Market Place East). We chose one of those minibuses for transportation, taking advantage of the discounted prices. After I made all the arrangements, another friend called and said he wanted to go. I arranged for a wheelchair accessible taxi, as he had physical infirmities.

The entire group decided to visit the Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden. The majority of us work as landscape architects and we wanted to see this beautiful green space in Ripon. It was all worth it and we got a lot of great ideas from there. We also went to visit the Ripon Cathedral; this was a special surprise for our friend who is in a wheelchair. He works as an architect and he loves old buildings. The group returned to the hotel with executive cars; the adapted taxi was once more called for our friend.

I loved traveling from Ripon to Gatwick airport with an airport taxi. The 259 miles distance was covered in 4 hours and 13 minutes and I paid around £451 for the journey. The rest of the group traveled from Ripon to Leeds-Bradford airport with a taxi cab as well. The 24 miles distance was covered in 41 minutes and they paid £156 for a minibus. As for myself, I stopped at The Lensfield Hotel (53 Lensfield Road, Cambridge) and at Great Northern Hotel (Station Approach, Peterborough). I ate at Bibimbap House (60 Mills Road, Cambridge) and at The Windmill (29 Cherry Orton Road, Peterborough).
